Dharmendra Tiwari was born and raised in Gyanpur, Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi, UP, INDIA.  He obtained his B.Sc. (2000) and M.Sc. (2003) in chemistry from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. After the post graduation he moved to CSIR-NCL, Pune and joined the research group of Dr. Ganesh Pandey and received his PhD (2012) in chemistry. In April 2012, he moved to University of Bordeaux-1, France, as a postdoctoral research fellow in Prof Michel Vaultier's group. In April 2013, he moved to CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad as a DST-INSPIRE Faculty. In January 2019, he joined the Centre of Bio-Medical Research (CBMR), Lucknow, India as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Tiwari's research interest includes the total synthesis of biologically important complex molecules. His groups is also involved the development of new methodologies for the synthesis of medicinally relevant molecules.
